Worship and Speaker: George Moss

george moss

From local radio celebrity, to touring around the world with some of Christian music’s biggest names, Rapper and founder of OXEN Apparel George Moss has a platform few other independent artists share.

Although making music, making clothing, and making fans are all apart of a day’s work for George, nothing compares to his heart for making disciples.
Through his music, clothing, and talks, George uses his unique platform to influence people everywhere to live a lifestyle of love understanding, and obedience to Gods Word.

Camp Michawana has been blessed to have George Moss come in concert many times in the past years, but now, for Big Chill 1 George will be speaking at the sessions.

Worship: Michawana Band

As if a hip hop artist wasn’t enough, we’re adding to the lineup your favorite Michawana worship songs led by your favorite Summer Staffers!

Big Chill 2:  February 15-17, 2019

Speaker: Joe Bragg

joe bragg

Joe Bragg is the Ministry Director at Kalamazoo Youth For Christ and has been in working in youth ministry since 2009. Before receiving the call to join YFC Joe was the Executive Pastor of Cherry Creek Community Church in Portage, MI. Joe has an unyielding passion and desire to see all people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and in 2012 God laid a vision on Joe’s heart to start a public speaking ministry which is now called Average Joe Ministries. Joe has been blessed with the opportunity to speak at various camps as well as fill the pulpit from time to time in area churches. Joe & his beautiful wife Stephanie have 2 wonderful boys named Asher & Alton, they have 2 dogs and a cat and they reside in Kalamazoo, MI. Worship: THRIVE

gideon chill

THRIVE is a young adult worship band from Evangel Baptist Church led by the Massengill brothers (Gideon & Noah).   They have been leading worship and putting on concerts at Michawana since 2014 when lead singer Gideon swept Red Thunder off her feet!

Tubing, ice skating, the REALLY BIG CHILL polar bear jump, and hot cocoa are really just the tip of this chilly ice-berg.

What sets Big Chill apart is the chance to grow as a small group or get to know your team through Bible Study, Team Challenges, and lots of bonding!

All the crazy excitement you’ve come to expect at Michawana, with a laid back winter flare that makes you wish winter lasted all year….okay…let’s not get crazy now.

Start Time:

The fun kicks off Friday night at 7pm.   (Pizza snack is provided later that night, but dinner is on your own before you come)

End Time:
The official fun will be done after lunch at 12:30.   Lunch will be a to-go style so if you want to hit the road you can, but feel free to stick around and play in the snow into the afternoon!

Lodging:
All accommodations are heated, some include bathrooms in the building and others have a short walk. Preferred lodging is based on first come, first served registration.

What to Bring:
Lots of warm clothes, bedding, toiletries, ice skates if you like, Bible, pen & notebook, and another pair of dry socks. (you may want to bring your swimsuit if you plan on doing the REALLY BIG CHILL).

Groups:

Youth groups are welcomed and can be given lodging together, but coming in a group is not necessary. We match up individual campers with Michawana Staff. All guys and girls lodging are separated.
